Skylar was recently hit by a car that shattered her hip and left untreated. Following the accident her owners decided that they didn’t want her anymore. Her former owners may have given up on her, but we will not! She is going to also need a lot of rehabilitation once her hip surgery is completed and that is why we are asking for our supporters help in getting her back on her feet. Skylar is a 1 year old 40-pound female Husky and will be up for adoption after her surgery and rehab.

Pupdate as of Feb 1st: Thanks to your kind support and donations we raised over $2,000 for Skylar, which will cover the full cost of her surgical bills.
Update as of March: Skylar is cleared by her doctor and no longer needs rehabilitation!! Thank you to all the staff with Jupiter Pet Emergency & Specialty Center and Dr. Yang for taking such great care of her!! Skylar is back to being a normal dog who can run around and play! Skylar is a very sweet girl who gets along great with other dogs ! She walks great on a leash and she loves to meet new people!
Update as of April: Another foster fail!! Huge congratulations to Skylar for finding her forever home! Skylar from a terrible situation, and when she first came in we quickly found out that she needed surgery for a shattered hip. Thank you Denise for helping us save her! Thanks to her surgery & rehabilitation and of course all the staff with Jupiter Pet Emergency & Specialty Center , she now is 100% healed and back to being a normal husky! Her owner is active and she absolutely adores Skylar! We are so happy Skylar now has a loving home who will care for her forever!! 🐾❤️
