It’s Raining Cats and Dogs 2018 is presented by PBSO to benefit the community and all the animals that are adopted that day. Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists will provide an on-site veterinarian during the day, and doggy nail trims will be performed by Kim O’s Pampered Pups. Salty Dog Paddle will also be presenting their famous out of water SUP Demos to anyone who wants to learn how to paddleboard or take their dog paddling.

Dog contests will be held at 1 p.m. – cutest, larges, smallest, most original costume and dog/human look alike – contest entry fee is $5 per dog per category. There will be pets for adoption from local shelters and breed rescue organizations. For the children there will be a bounce house, slide, train rides and face painting. Characters from Star Wars are going to be there for photo opportunities.

Captain Cartoon will sketch caricatures of you and / or your dog. Doggie Fun Zone will allow your dog to enjoy agility and a good run also. And you may adopt another pet from the various rescues / shelters that are attending.

Two of our local service dog organizations will be there to exhibit their working dogs and the value they are to residents of our community. They will also instruct children and adults as to the service dog laws in Florida.

Activities throughout the day will include demonstrations of animal CPR by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the Blessing of the Animals by the chaplain for the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.

The PBSO bloodhounds will make an appearance for petting as will the magnificent horses of the PBSO mounted unit. Vehicles from PBSO and Fire Rescue will be there also. Featured will be pet related vendors and lots of raffle & silent auction items. Food vendors will provide tummy treats.
