BBB is a party to raise funds for injured rescue dogs in South Florida and the coup de grâce is a celebrity dating auction just in time for Valentine’s Day being the week prior. The charity is expecting some big-name celebrities including co-founder and owner of Monkey in Paradise Vodka, Seth Goldberg.
Camelot 114 S Narcissus Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33401 | (561) 408-1001
In its 4th year hosting the fundraiser, Barks, Babes & Bros (formerly Brews) is Salty Dog Paddle’s largest event of the year! Since Salty Dog is a nonprofit surf brand it is their equivalent of a formal-style ball or gala. The creators of the event said that they didn’t want people to have a chance to sit down, although that is an option at this year’s venue with VIP table service. Since the event is taking place at Camelot, the theme this year will be nautical, so come dressed in your best boating attire!
Past contestants for the dating auction portion include the Prince of Italy, Lorenzo Borghese, 2018 Maxim Cover Girl Olivia Burns, Race car driver Colin Thompson, ABC’s Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise Contestants James McCoy Taylor and Derek Peth, and actress Danielle Stratton. Bidding for these celebrities as well as some local heroes will start at just $100.
If you’re a fan of silent auctions at charity events then this is the auction for you! Salty Dog Paddle’s Board of Directors has been collecting items for the silent auction throughout 2018 including an autographed guitar by Mark Tremonti, autographed hand-made surfboard by surfing legend Ron Heavyside from Nomad Surf Shop and Pet Carriers donated by Taylor Swift.
Salty Dog Paddle is offering pre-sale tickets (which include a premium drink) for a $17.50 donation or $20 at the door. VIP Tables with Bottle Service are available starting at $250.
